God is Love

The God I learned about was kind, and loving.
Love thy neighbor.
Forgive
Judge not lest you shall be Judged.
So why is that God, turned into something ugly, something of hate.
The Crusades,  Taliban's Jihad, Uganda's decision to make homosexuality  a capital crime
Jesus died so that we might be forgiven,
Not so we could commit sin after sin, and blind ourselves with hate.
You won't get into heaven through hate
God does not ask you, mere mortals, to make His judgments for Him.
He is a big god and can do that for Himself.  
And you, pathetic, foolish men (and women) need to back off
Live and let live,
Because the hardest thing in this world is to live in it.
There is enough hate without religion adding more
Where is the love?
Where is the God they told me would always love and forgive me?
So few people believe in love any more.
God said unto the people "I give up, you lot need to deal with your own damn problems"
And the people said unto God "Fine, it's not like we listened to you anyway."
But God heard the few people, who reached up to him, with soft voices and said "Dear Lord, we hear you, we try to obey."
And to them God gives peace, and the assurance, that someday, God will make it right.
Allah said unto his people "Respect thy Mother, and love thy neighbor.  Do not wage war in my name unless war is forced upon you."
And His people said "Yes Lord."
Until one day, some people did not listen, and spread hate, and fear.  They stopped respecting their women, and stopped respecting their neighbor.  And Allah sees this, and Allah knows.
Adonai said unto his people, "Worship me faithfully, for you are my chosen and I will return you to your homeland"
And his people said unto him "Yes Lord."  And they worshipped Him faithfully, though they were persecuted, and hated and hunted, they kept the faith peacefully.
Until one day, they were restored to their homeland, and fell to squabbling with others.  Now there isn't enough room for both to live in harmony.  And Adonai saw this, and knew.
God is love, and God is peace.  He sees and He knows, and it is for Him to judge, not you, never you.
